*1185# service is a USSD service customers to report suspicious phone numbers that may be linked to scams quickly. AIS will forward the data to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB)

After ending the call with the suspicious number, within 5 minutes, dial *1185# and press call to report the number. AIS will verify the latest call and send the information to the Central Investigative Bureau. Customers will receive SMS updates on the investigation results within 48 hours.

This service is available for all legal numbers and devices without the following conditions:

  • Reported numbers within the first 10 digits of AIS or other operators will be blocked only with law enforcement authorization.
  • Numbers with prefixes +697 (VoIP), +698 (international), or 02 require law enforcement approval for blocking.

There are no fee; the service is free of charge.

AIS respects customer privacy and will only check and verify reported numbers. The system will block numbers only if they are confirmed to be fraudulent. The verification process adheres to legal standards to ensure the safety of all customers.

If the customer does not receive or answer the suspicious call, or if the number does not align with characteristics of scam numbers, it cannot be reported through *1185#. Customers can learn more about blocking such numbers at  https://m.ais.co.th/BlockCallerSMS

Each case and group of reported numbers undergo a strict verification process. Numbers determined to meet the criteria for fraudulent activity will be blocked, while those that do not meet the standards will remain active.

Reporting within 5 minutes reduces the risk of errors. Customers must report the last number they received a call from within the time frame to ensure accurate data submission to the Central Investigation Bureau.

If the customer reports the number after 5 minutes, an SMS error message will be sent. The details are as follows:

Customers can also report numbers through the IVR 1185 service or the Aunjai chatbot instead.  

If the reported number has not been verified as a scam by the central investigation unit, the number will not be blocked and can continue to operate normally on the AIS network.

The system will forward the most recent number received. If you want to report a different suspicious number, you can do so by calling 1185 through an alternative method.

Reported numbers must undergo a thorough investigation by the central investigation unit (CIB). If confirmed as a scam, the system will block the number within 48 hours.

Blocking is implemented at the network level. This means that fraudulent numbers will no longer be able to make calls or send messages to AIS customers.

  1. Customers can contact AIS to confirm and request unblocking at AIS Shops, Serenade Clubs, or Telewiz stores.
  2. Provide identification documents and the reported number to the staff to process the unblocking request.
  3.  AIS will verify the information and proceed with unblocking, allowing the number to make and receive calls as normal.
